Sister Schools Signing Ceremony Held in Our School

    Led by Mike, the senior consultant from Chicago Hope High School, a group of American teachers and its Chinese staff paid a visit to Foreign Language Experimental School of Luxian NO.2 High School and a sister schools signing ceremony between the two schools was grandly held on April 7th. To strengthen relationships, understanding and appreciation between the students and staff of both sides, we will actively be engaged in the international academic exchange programs.

    Chicago Hope Academy is centrally located in the Medical District of Chicago, 2 miles from downtown. It has high quality teachers from Ivy League schools. It is dedicated to nurturing and challenging the body and mind. The average class size at Chicago Hope is only 12 students, so each student receives individual attention and support.Therefore, the academy has 100% college acceptance rate and a high rate college acceptance to Ivy League schools, such as Columbia University, Brown University. 

    During the visit, Mike and his staff speak highly of Foreign Language Experimental School of Luxian NO.2 High School. “ I really love here”, says Mike. “ We can find a lot of similarities between the two schools in educational philosophy. It’s really amazing to visit such an outstanding school in southwest of China”. He also describes the outlook of international cooperation in the next three years.

    The purpose of the cooperation is to increase students’ cross-cultural awareness , develop students into citizens who are globally engaged and better understand the outside world and broaden their international horizons.

      4月7日，美国芝加哥希望高中的教师和工作人员在高级顾问Mike的带领下，对泸县二中外国语实验学校进行了友好访问，并签订协议缔结为友好学校。这是继3月29日之后，Mike一行第二次对我校进行访问。泸二外将与美国芝加哥希望高中在国际学术交流、师生互访、师生短期交换等方面进行深度交流与合作。

     校长唐国成详细介绍了学校的办学及发展情况，学校以“为学生的幸福人生导航”为宗旨，开展体验式德育和框架式教学研究，取得了骄人成绩，泸州市中考获得9连冠。目前，学校已经启动以国学、数学、艺体、外语、科技创新、德育等六个方面为载体的特色学校建设，把泸二外打造成一所现代、开放、包容、与世界同步的川南名校。

     在签约仪式上，Mike顾问向校长唐国成详细介绍了美国芝加哥希望高中的办学及发展情况。学校位于芝加哥医学区，离中心城区2英里；被誉为常青藤的摇篮，教师主要来自于常青藤联盟学校，拥有剑桥新闻类、音乐类的客座教授。该校小班教学，平均每班12名学生。高中毕业后，大学升学率100%，部分毕业生进入哥伦比亚大学，布朗大学等常青藤联盟学校。在访问期间，Mike说，“我很喜欢这个学校，我们两个学校间有着许多相同的教育理念，比如县二中外国语实验学校的体验式德育、丰富的学生社团活动（100团大战）与芝加哥希望高中的 ‘Nurturing and Challenging the Body and Mind’不谋而合。”
